Laptops With Best Displays For Creative Use

Content creators require a sleek laptop with color-accurate display. Furthermore, they require powerful hardware capable of managing intensive tasks such as video editing, photo editing and graphic design.

Search for laptops that support multiple color gamuts, including sRGB and DCI-P3, that feature vibrant IPS or OLED displays with vibrant hues. When shopping clamshell models with comfortable keyboard and touchpad features for long creative sessions.

1. Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1

Lenovo has designed its convertible from an all-aluminum chassis, featuring fingerprint resistance. While thicker than competing models, its compact size and light weight make it easily portable in bags or backpacks.

The Yoga 7i 2-in-1’s 14-inch IPS panel delivers a resolution of 1,920×1,200 pixels at 60Hz with 99% coverage of the sRGB color space for everyday work and play. Plus, its matte finish helps prevent distracting reflections.

We conducted our display accuracy tests by showing it 24 colors ranging from light and dark human skin, blue skies, and green grass – including light and dark human skin, blue skies, and green grass. While its performance in default mode was good, its performance excelled even more so in “Gaming and Design”, which provides more vivid settings.

Our Geekbench 6 benchmark score was 9,214, which falls slightly below category average but acceptable for a productivity laptop. It can handle light tasks without much difficulty but might struggle when running multiple applications at the same time.

Lenovo offers an excellent keyboard with ample room and its Quick Command keys that enable calculator access or return to lock screen access, among other tasks. While we prefer larger trackpads, this one still feels comfortable and responsive despite being slightly smaller than we’d prefer; Windows 10 gesture support and Smart Key capability add an additional level of convenience for opening applications or taking snapshots.

2. Asus ZenBook Pro UX390UA

The Asus Zenbook Pro UX390UA is one of the thinnest and lightest Intel Core i laptops on the market, and also comes close in looks to Apple’s 12-inch MacBook. However, despite its small form factor it actually outpaces that computer.

It’s an ultraportable that offers more specifications per pound than the competition, with its 12.5-inch IPS display standing out. It is extremely bright, has a high contrast ratio, and displays vibrant, vivid colours rather than muted ones. Unfortunately, however, its panel does not cover 100% of sRGB (a necessary standard for professional use), only being capable of showing 62% Adobe RGB and 67% DCI P3 (the cinema standard).

Although not ideal for most users, this issue shouldn’t be an absolute deal-breaker; like with other ultra-thin laptops, the UX390UA makes some concessions when shrinking down to its slim profile; for instance, there’s only a USB Type C port and no full-sized USB or HDMI outputs; an adapter provides full-sized USBs, HDMI outputs, and additional Type C slots to expand IO capabilities.

Only downside is the keyboard and trackpad may feel slightly cheap; nevertheless, they remain comfortable to use for extended periods of time. Overall, this laptop offers all you need for creative work in terms of size, power, style and portability – an excellent combination.

3. Lenovo IdeaPad Duet Chromebook 5

The IdeaPad Duet Chromebook 5 is an outstanding successor to last year’s model, boasting an outstanding OLED display in a sleek detachable form factor that weighs less than a full-featured convertible or clamshell laptop. Ideal for those who need both laptop and tablet functionality at once.

Lenovo has designed this screen with an OLED panel and a widescreen 16:9 aspect ratio to give users a similar viewing experience to many $500 Chromebooks, but at an even better value. Pixel peepers may find this resolution lacking. This model marks Lenovo’s second year using OLED on this particular model.

In our brightness test, the IdeaPad Duet scored 361 nits – more than enough light for even sunny conditions and far surpassing Chromebook average of 272 nits. In our Delta-E color accuracy test, however, the IdeaPad performed admirably with 0.22 Delta-E color accuracy score; just behind current Chromebook average score of 0.2 and Detachable CM3/Chromebook X2 11’s score of 0.3.

The IdeaPad is well-equipped in terms of connectivity, supporting Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 respectively, along with two USB-C ports supporting Power Delivery and DisplayPort 1.4. Furthermore, its battery life was amazing: 13 hours and 31 minutes according to our Laptop Mag battery test – exceeding even the Chromebook average by several hours while leaving behind Windows-running Dell Latitude 3490 i5s like Latitude 3490 i5 as well as Android models like Galaxy Tab S4s by several hours or so.

4. Apple MacBook Pro 16-inch (M3 Pro/M3 Max)

The MacBook Pro 16-inch (M3 Pro/M3 Max), equipped with Intel’s new Xeon processor, delivers desktop-class CPU and GPU performance in an ultra-slim package – as well as up to 22 hours1 of battery life1.

Apple’s M3 Pro and M3 Max chips are revolutionary. According to benchmarking results, they offer performance and capabilities designed for extreme workflows that exceed what was available nine months ago in their predecessor models, the M2 Pro/Max models. According to Apple benchmarking tests, up to 45% faster single core CPU performance can be seen with these chips while multi core CPU performance has seen up to 20% increases compared with earlier M2 models that came out less than nine months earlier.

The MacBook Pro 16-inch’s display is ideal for creative work, offering 1.600 nits of peak brightness for vibrant hues and an expansive P3 wide color gamut that supports up to one billion colors. Furthermore, its touchscreen capabilities make photo editing and other tasks requiring quick input simple and precise.

With the MacBook Pro 16, you can leave most of your adapters behind and take advantage of an array of ports – USB-C, HDMI, Gigabit Ethernet and Thunderbolt 3. Plus you get comfortable input devices, six speaker sound system and 1080p FaceTime HD webcam; its solid aluminum construction and lightweight design make it easily portable powerhouse that fits in your bag without being cumbersome; you can choose either space gray or the gorgeous new dark finish “space black.” Moreover, Apple offers M3 Pro and Max models offering up to 128GB unified memory to give your productivity a significant boost – perfect if your business requires it!
